The free version has quite a few restrictions to prevent botting and gold sellers. I think it's good if people wanna test it. As a serious player, you're going to want HoT so I assume a lot will eventual buy it.
I've moved towards being more positive about Free to Play over these past two days. I still think it kind of sucks for the people that bought the game via discount of the free copy with Heart of Thorns, and how they might feel kind of burned, but I'm hoping this will ultimately be a good thing for the game.
I don't really worry about the cost of the game at release and the F2P transition. It's like sale prices - it doesn't devalue it to me. You get to play the game right at release, which is usually a pretty special time to play.
RandonAnnnnnnnd i just typed that in the wrong spot....

RandonNot sure if anyone cares anymore, but I bitched in NGT chat about the lack of vehicles and vehicle hoarding. The people responsible blew up like 20 cars. They were even nice enough to pick me up and take me to a jeep, so we once again have a vehicle. It's parked in the woods by the base/house. Multiple batteries and plugs in our storage.
